KINGMAN – Prosecutor Jonathan Robinson said officers spotted packages of a white crystal substance in boxes in plain view as they approached a van during an Interstate 40 traffic stop outside Kingman on Nov. 21,2019. The Mohave County Sheriff’s office said 43 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of $1.9 million was confiscated from the vehicle operated by Israel Tellez-Nava, 36, Las Vegas.

Tellez-Nava entered a plea agreement Thursday, April 22 that will convict him of transportation of dangerous drugs for sale. Terms of the deal require Judge Billy Sipe to impose a 5-8-year prison term at a June 1 sentencing hearing.
