KINGMAN – We’ve got some new events coming up to sink your teeth into as the month of August closes and September sets in!

On Saturday, August 28th and Sunday, August 29th, there will be the 2021 Livestock Show! Saturday will showcase the Rabbit Show at 9 am, the Lamb Show at 10 am, the Poultry Show at 1 pm, and the Swine Show at 2 pm. Sunday’s events will include the Cattle Show at 9 am and the Goat Show at 1 pm. The event will take place at the Mohave County Fairgrounds. September 3rd will be the monthly First Friday celebration! Head to downtown Kingman to enjoy a lively environment with your family and visit all of our wonderful local businesses!

On September 7th, the Mohave County Animal Shelter will be hosting a Barks and Brews event at Black Bridge Brewery (421 E Beale St. #5833) from 4 pm to 7 pm. The event will showcase adoptable dogs from the shelter looking to meet the love of their lives! Walk a pooch around beautiful historic downtown Kingman and receive a discount on draft drinks. If you fall in love with one of the pups, dog adoptions will be available on site! But even if you do not plan on adopting a furry friend, please still come and meet the wonderful dogs! Or, if you cannot attend but would still like to help the shelter out, you can donate any pet food, supplies, and funds to help support the event and MCAS. Email barksandbrewsaz@gmail.com for more information!

And on September 11th, Kingman Regional Medical Center will be holding its 32nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course. The tournament will begin with a 7:30 am shotgun start. An awards ceremony will follow the end of play with lunch provided. The tournament will also include raffles as well as cash prizes and various challenges for the golfers. Two vital programs benefit from the funds raised through this tournament: the KRMC Joan and Diana Hospice Home and the KRMC Foundation’s Catch It Early program.
